This is the first time I've ever read yaoi, and I'm shocked to say it, but I think I'm hooked. This book was a little predictable, but never boring. I loved it.
This story is very sweet and beautiful. The art work is a little so so, but the story definitely makes up for it.
The last time was in my opinion rape. This a good story. Despite this the story is sound with the characters eventually revealing themselves to each other. The characters are the classic yaoi, one strong and forceful and the other shy and a little timid. The dominant character Tokiwa is somewhat distant and actually forces Itsuki to have sex several times in the story. I especially appreciated the short follow up story included at the end. It shows how much Tokiwa actually loves Itsuki.
It starts out with the mild mannered Itsuki Hashimoto braving a winter storm to deliver some important papers to a grumpy sculptor named Tokiwa Masatsugu. This has to be one of my favorite yaoi novels so far, and I've read quite a few. While it does have the racy sex scenes I've grown to love, it also has a well developed plot. As the story progresses a hefty bargain Itsuki made with Tokiwa's old mentor is revealed and old flames are rekindled. With suspense, a bit of mystery, as well as plenty of romance, this book is a must read for any yaoi lover.
This story was written very well. The characters has a lot of depth.I like the writting style. However There was one part that wasnt very clear to me but no matter, It was a very satisfying read. Also, There is a part of the story which is similar to a horror movie about the writer stranded with broken legs and the killer fan, but with this book , the uke character is basically raped. That part was a bit twisted. However , it made it interesting.I immediately shared this to my gay friend who loves to read. This one is a keeper.
